Kathy Moon received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 from
California State University, Chico and her Master’s of Science in Nursing and
Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Western University of Health
Sciences. She is Board-Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kathy worked as
a case manager for Hospice and Title II Ryan White HIV-positive patients early
in her career. She provided primary care at the Sutter County Outpatient Clinic
in Yuba City, California caring for a largely Hispanic and Punjabi Indian
community. She later developed and managed the Feather River Anticoagulation
Clinic in Paradise, California.
Kathy has had many achievements and received many awards for her outstanding
service. Among these are the Air Force Nursing Leadership Award in 1995 and the
1999 Class Service Award at WUHS for Community Service.
Kathy Moved to Reedsport in 2005 with her husband, Bruce. Together they have six
grown children who live in California. Besides fishing, clamming and crabbing
with her husband every chance she gets, Kathy enjoys reading, cooking, singing,
and gardening.
