News from Lower Umpqua Hospital

Auxiliary Cookbook of "Best Loved Recipes" Now Available

Best Loved Recipes from the Lower Umpqua Hospital Auxiliary is now available for $8.50 at the hospital gift shop. The book contains over 300 recipes contributed by members of the Auxiliary. The cookbook also contains sections with helpful food safety guidelines, low sodium seasoning suggestions, ways to reduce dietary sodium, food labeling definitions, heart healthy recipe substitutions, and fat facts. The cookbook makes a thoughtful gift, and proceeds from the sale of the cookbook enable the Auxiliary to purchase equipment and meet other special needs of the hospital and extended care facility.

Gift shop hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cookbooks can also be purchased from Auxiliary members.
